Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Legendary Armor Locations Guide

In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there are legendary armor sets that players can obtain by completing missions, defeating specific bosses, or simply opening the right chests in the right areas. Obtaining and equipping a full set of legendary armor will grant players bonuses, some of which may change the entire course of their journey (including how they approach Odyssey‘s abilities).

While some legendary armor pieces may be acquired early on in the game, it’s best to wait until at least halfway through the story until players start to really try to obtain full sets. After all, most of them require defeating members of the Cult of Kosmos – and that can be harrowing in and of itself. Plus, the Cultists aren’t even introduced until quite a bit into the story.

Furthermore, equipping just one piece of legendary armor will grant players a bonus, but equipping all five pieces of equipment can either increase damage for all weapons and abilities, increase armor resistance, and perhaps even make players immortal in the grand scheme of things. Here’s a full guide on the all the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey legendary armor sets (images via PS4Trophies):

Pilgrim’s Legendary Armor Set

Players have to scour the Greek world looking for specific chests on specific islands. And acquiring each Pilgrim armor piece allows players to spend 40% less adrenaline when using the Shadow of Nyx ability.

  • Pilgrim’s Hood – Inside a chest in the Eleusis Telesterion in Attika.
  • Pilgrim’s Gloves – Inside a chest in the Akropolis of Argos.
  • Pilgrim’s Garment – Inside a chest in the Temple of Athena in Sparta.
  • Pilgrim’s Belt – Inside a chest in the Temple of Artemis in Lakonia.
  • Pilgrim’s Boots – Inside a chest in the Temple of Britomartis in Messara.

Amazon/Achilles Legendary Armor Set

Players who play as Kassandra will obtain the Amazon legendary armor set (something akin to Wonder Woman’s armor), whereas players who play as Alexios will get the Achilles armor upon defeating all the members of the Heroes of the Cult. Both armor sets provide players will a full set bonus of +2% damage dealt restored as health.

  • Helm of Achilles – Defeat Pallas the Silencer.
  • Bracers of Achilles – Defeat Swordfish.
  • Armor of Achilles – Defeat Belos, The Beast Of Sparta, in the Arena.
  • Waistband of Achilles – Defeat Okytos the Great.
  • Sandals of Achilles – Defeat Deianeira.

Agamemnon Legendary Armor Set

Agamemnon’s legendary armor set provides players with a full set bonus of +50% burning rate. But first, players have to defeat all the members of the Silver Vein branch of the Cult of Kosmos.

  • Agamemnon’s Helmet – Defeat Machaon The Feared.
  • Agamemnon’s Gauntlets – Inside a chest at the Silver Mine in Athens.
  • Agamemnon’s Body Armor – Defeat The Silver Griffin.
  • Agamemnon’s Waistband – Defeat The Centaur Of Euboea.
  • Boots of Agamemnon – Defeat The Chimera.

Immortal Legendary Armor Set

Although players can’t become immortal while wearing the Immortal legendary armor set, they do get an additional 20% health restored to them upon respawning. However, they first need to defeat the entire Worshippers of the Bloodline branch of the Cult of Kosmos.

  • Helmet of the Immortal – Defeat Zoisme.
  • Gauntlets of the Immortal – Defeat Chrysis.
  • Armor of the Immortal – Defeat Diona.
  • Waistband of the Immortal – Defeat Melite.
  • Boots of the Immortal – Defeat Harpalos.

Greek Heroes Legendary Armor Set

Instead of taking down Cultists, for the Greek Heroes legendary armor set, players have to take on mercenaries, who will drop the Perseus Helmet, Jason’s Golden Fleece, Bracers of Theseus, Hippolyta’s Belt, and Atalanta’s Sandals. However, different mercenaries may drop different items for different players. The armor set provides a bonus of 20% to all resistances.

  • Defeat The Translucent
  • Defeat The Flash
  • Defeat The Lucky Drunk
  • Defeat The Frenzied
  • Defeat The Resplendent

Arena Fighter’s Legendary Armor Set

In order to obtain the Arena Fighter’s legendary armor set, players will have to complete the Arena – defeating every champion – for a second time at or near the max level. Wearing the full set provides players with a bonus of +10% health restored with overpower.

  • Arena Fighter’s Helmet
  • Arena Fighter’s Gauntlets
  • Arena Fighter’s Armor
  • Arena Fighter’s Waistband
  • Pit Fighter’s Boots

Artemis Legendary Armor Set

The Artemis legendary armor set is obtained by essentially completing the Daughters of Artemis quest. A full set gives players a bonus of +15% damage on all Hunter abilities.

  • Master’s Artemis Hood – Defeat the Krokottas Hyena and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Gloves – Defeat the Erymanthian Boar and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Outfit – Defeat the Krekatan Bull and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Belt – Defeat Kallisto the Bear and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Treads – Defeat the Lykaon Wolf and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.

Snake Legendary Armor Set

One of the more intriguing legendary armor sets in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the Snake set, which grants players a bonus of +10% intoxicated damage and weakening effect. The entire Eye of Kosmos branch of the Cult of Kosmos needs to be defeated in order to obtain the full set.

  • Viper’s Hood – Defeat The Master.
  • Venom Gloves – Defeat Hermippos.
  • Scaled Armor – Defeat The Snake.
  • Slithering Belt – Defeat Sotera.
  • Noxious Boots – Defeat Midus in Argolis.

Athenian War Hero Legendary Armor Set

Players have to defeat all the cultists part of the Delian League to obtain the Athenian War Hero legendary armor set. A full set grants a bonus allowing players to penetrate shields with arrows.

  • Athenian War Hero Helmet – Defeat Kodros the Bull.
  • Athenian War Hero Gauntlets – Defeat Brison.
  • Athenian War Hero Armor – Defeat Iobates the Stoic.
  • Athenian War Hero Belt – Defeat Rhexenor the Hand.
  • Athenian War Hero Boots – Defeat Podarkes the Cruel.

Spartan War Hero Legendary Armor Set

Considering that Sparta famously fought in the Peloponnesian War, it makes sense that players have to defeat the Peloponnesian League of the Cult of Kosmos to get the Spartan War Hero legendary armor set, which appropriately grants players +15% damage to all Warrior abilities.

  • Spartan War Hero Helmet – Defeat Monger in Korinthia.
  • Spartan War Hero Gauntlets – Defeat Silanos of Paros.
  • Spartan War Hero Armor – Defeat Skylax the Fair.
  • Spartan War Hero Belt – Defeat Lagos the Archon.
  • Spartan War Hero Boots – Defeat Kallias.

Pirate Legendary Armor Set

To get the Pirate legendary armor set, perhaps one of the coolest looking armor sets in the game, players have to take down the Gods of the Aegean Sea cultists. Then, the full armor set grants a +15% damage to all Assassin abilities.

  • Pirate Hood – Defeat Melanthos.
  • Pirate Gauntlets – Defeat Asterion.
  • Pirate Armor – Defeat The Octopus.
  • Pirate Waistband – Defeat Sokos.
  • Pirate Treads – Defeat The Mytilenian Shark.

Demigod Legendary Armor Set

Loot Deimos at the end of the main story to obtain four of the five pieces of armor needed to complete the Demigod legendary armor set. The four pieces of armor are: Demigod’s Chestplate, Demigod’s Bracers, Demigod’s Belt, and Demigod’s Boots. The final armor piece, Aspasia’s Circlet, is obtained by defeating the final Cult of Kosmos member, the Ghost of Kosmos.

In total, there are 12 legendary armor sets in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Some of them will be relatively easy to obtain, while others will require some skill and ingenuity. But Ubisoft’s latest installment is quite long and expansive, so there’s no rush. After all, one or two of them can only be acquired after completing the game itself.

Chris Klein Revealed as Cicada in First Flash Season 5 Image

New images from The Flash season 5 reveal the first proper look at the villain known as Cicada. Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) was turned upside down at the end of season 4 when he learned another speedster was in Central City. The purple lightning came from none other than his daughter Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy), who had traveled back in time to be with her parents. While they try to figure out why she has arrived and if she can return to her rightful place in the timeline, The Flash has to deal with his latest threat.

Chris Klein was cast as David Hersch, aka Cicada, for The Flash season 5 earlier this year. His addition was announced at San Diego Comic-Con following the release of a trailer that teased the inclusion of the DC villain. As the marketing has moved into the final stages before the season 5 premiere this week, he had yet to be completely revealed – until now.

The CW released official photos from season 5 episode 2, “Blocked”, and included in them are the first looks at Chris Klein’s Cicada. The Flash season 5 character breakdowns that first confirmed Cicada’s involvement described him as a “semi-immortal metahuman who has the ability to disable other metahumans’ abilities and blames other super-powered individuals for his suffering.” After just getting to hear his breathing and seeing his Lightning Daggers, his full look is now revealed, along with a tease of him using one of the daggers against Cisco Ramon/Vibe (Carlos Valdes).

DC Comics readers may be surprised to see how Cicada appears, as his look largely differs from the source material. In the comics, he’s an old, bald man with a long white beard when he battles Flash. He has potential immortality thanks to his ability to steal the souls of others to extend his own life. This could be partially changed for the show as it appears he’s been given the ability to take metahuman powers but not someone’s soul.

At this point in the lead up to The Flash‘s return, it’s simply nice to finally get a clear look at Cicada. Even the most recent Flash trailer just continued to tease his presence instead of actually showing him. Since these images are from the second episode of the series, it’s possible viewers may not get to see him in action during the season premiere. Thankfully, the wait is almost over to see whether or not he appears.

WB’s Extended Aquaman Trailer Puts the MCU to Shame, Says Mark Millar

Comic book writer and artist Mark Millar expresses an aggressive opinion about DC Films’ new Aquaman movie, saying that it puts the current Marvel Cinematic Universe movies to shame. James Wan’s upcoming solo movie is the only DC Comics-based feature to release this year, and it continues Arthur Curry’s story that left off with last year’s Justice League movie. Considering that it’s the first time the character has been adapted into live-action in his own standalone movie, there’s obviously quite a bit of hype surrounding it.

Jason Momoa reprises his Justice League role as Arthur, aka Aquaman, in the new movie, which sees him go on a quest with Mera (Amber Heard) to find King Atlan’s Trident. Doing so will grant him the powers he needs to not only control the seven seas but also dethrone his brother, King Orm (Patrick Wilson), as the King of Atlantis and save the surface world from invasion. It’s a lot to take in, which is why the studio started marketing the film back at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. And then at New York Comic Con 2018, they released an extended, five-minute Aquaman trailer (the same one which was shown to Hall H attendees at SDCC).

Related: How Will Aquaman Get His New, Comic-Inspired Costume?

Warner Bros. Pictures officially released the extended Aquaman trailer online today, and it got quite the reaction from Mark Millar, who is best known for writing comic book series like Kingsman, Wanted, Kick-Ass, and even Marvel’s Civil War (of which Anthony and Joe Russo’s Captain America: Civil War movie is based on). In response to seeing the trailer, Millar decreed that the trailer makes the modern MCU movies look like they belong among 1970s Marvel TV shows, like The Incredible Hulk. Take a look:

It’s no secret that the studio has struggled with developing critically-acclaimed DC movies in recent years, despite the fact that the vast majority of those films have been financially successful. Still, with the exception of the third trailer for Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, which infamously spoiled Doomsday’s involvement in the blockbuster team-up movie, the one area that DC has typically excelled in is making trailers. In fact, it’s the popularity of their trailers that convinced studio executives to completely recut David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.

Regardless of what Millar’s point is, it’s clear that people – including Millar – are excited about Aquaman‘s standalone film. Whether it turns out to be the hit that fans (and the studio) are hoping it will be remains to be seen. But it’s on the right track with regards to its marketing campaign, which should kick into high gear sometime in November, leading up to its crowded December release.

The Flash Season 5 Trailer: Cicada Brings War to Central City

A new trailer for The CW’s The Flash brings a new threat to Central City and gives fans a taste of what Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be up against when he takes on Cicada (Chris Klein) in season 5. Like season 4’s big bad, The Thinker, Cicada won’t need to be a speedster to pose a threat to Team Flash.

In the season 4 finale, Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) were hit with a shocking development when Jessica Parker Kennedy’s mystery girl arrived at Joe’s doorstep and revealed herself to be Nora, their daughter from the future. Due to Kennedy being a series regular for season 5, the character is expected to have a major role in the storyline for the upcoming season. Nora admitted in the finale that she made a “big mistake“. This “mistake” is most likely the setup for Cicada’s introduction.

The CW has released a new trailer for The Flash season 5, which premieres this Tuesday. The trailer highlights the relationship between Barry and Nora while touching on Barry’s fears about what will become of him in the future. Nora’s lack of a connection with Iris is also hinted at in the trailer. References are made to Cicada, but not by name. Cicada is played up as a mysterious and deadly enemy who wields a black lightning bolt-shaped dagger. Cicada’s methods threaten to cause a “war zone” in Central City, but his exact intentions aren’t revealed.

It appears that Cicada was defeated by the Flash in the original timeline, before it was inadvertently altered by Nora’s “big mistake“. Whatever Nora did seems to have impacted the timeline in a way that may shift the odds in Cicada’s favor. Team Flash may need Nora’s help to defeat him.

It was previously reported that Cicada will have a lot in common with his comic book counterpart, a semi-immortal villain who vows to kill those who have been saved by the Flash. Killing them gives him the life force he needs to stay alive. The show’s version of the character is a metahuman with the ability to disable the powers of others. He begins to target other metahumans because he blames them for his own suffering. It’s unclear what will prompt Cicada’s attacks on Central City, but it will be interesting to see how his battle with the Flash will play out over the course of the season.

Star Wars 9: Richard E. Grant Is NOT Playing Grand Admiral Thrawn

Star Wars: Episode IX actor Richard E. Grant confirms he is not playing Grand Admiral Thrawn in the film. Along with Keri Russell and Naomi Ackie, Grant is one of three newcomers to the sequel trilogy’s already stacked ensemble, signing on for a mystery role that’s being kept under wraps for now. Despite there being a lack of information about Grant’s character, fans are already speculating who he could be. A popular theory to pop up is Thrawn, the fan-favorite Legends villain who was integrated into the official canon via Rebels and Timothy Zahn’s new novels.

Unlike the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars has no qualms about working the non-movie materials into the feature films. For instance, Saw Gerrera (a character who originally appeared on Clone Wars) had a supporting role in Rogue One, and Solo featured the infamous Maul cameo at the end. Because of this, viewers are wondering if Thrawn will ever be on the big screen, but it won’t happen in Episode IX.

Related: All The Star Wars 9 Rumors, Leaks & Spoilers

In an interview with Radio Times, Grant was asked about the prevailing hypothesis he is the live-action Thrawn and took the opportunity to debunk the rumor quite definitively:

I’m not playing the Star Wars character you just mentioned. I’m not allowed to tell you anything. Otherwise I would be fired. It’s a complete lockdown on any information whatsoever.

While Lucasfilm does like to play up the secrecy of their films, they aren’t afraid to be transparent when it’s called for. Some may recall they shot down the “Snoke is Plagueis” theory a while ago and nixed the notion Carrie Fisher’s likeness would be recreated via CGI for Episode IX. It’s nice to see the studio isn’t a completely closed book, as this allows fans to adjust their expectations accordingly. Now, well before Star Wars 9 debuts, audiences know Thrawn isn’t in it and they can move on to the next theory that catches their attention. Whenever something as massive as Star Wars is involved, there’s no shortage of rumors to sift through.

In all likelihood, Grant is playing a new character, perhaps some sort of commanding officer for the First Order. The villains took heavy losses in The Last Jedi with the deaths of Snoke and Captain Phasma, so they need some reinforcements as the war heats up. Of course, at this point in time, there’s always a chance he’s a member of the Resistance, but they seem to have a loaded roster of characters at their disposal. Grant has experience playing a villain in a franchise tentpole (see: Logan) and certainly fits the profile of someone who would make a convincing Imperial-type. Seeing him interact with Domhnall Gleeson and Adam Driver (who have their own compelling dynamic) in Episode IX would be a treat.
