Staff at dubbing studio visited by Abhishek Bachchan test negative for COVID-19

After Abhishek Bachchan was found to be coronavirus positive on July 11, the dubbing studio he visited last week to dub for Breathe: Into the Shadows was shut down. All the employees at the studio have now been tested negative for the virus.

As per reports the owner of the studio has confirmed that all of the staff have been found negative and he also concluded that the actor might not have contacted the virus from the studio. However, the studio will continue to remain closed. 

On July 11, Amitabh Bachchan was first tested positive for coronavirus followed by Abhishek Bachchan. Both father and son were immediately shifted to Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. The following day Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan were also tested positive, however, they were asked to self quarantine at home. 

All the people who came in contact with the Bachchan family are being tested for the virus. Reportedly, the staff at the Bachchan household will also go through a round of antibodies test to find out how the family contacted the virus.

Television shoots have resumed adhering to the government’s safety protocol. Many shows are set to air soon. Sony TV’s variety series India’s Best Dancer will be back on the small screen from this coming weekend. Malaika Arora is one of the judges on the show along with Geeta Kapur and Terence Lewis. She will be absent for the next couple of episodes. Uncertain about the next few episodes, filmmaker and choreographer Remo D’souza has stepped as the judge making it the reunion of Dance India Dance original judges’ panel.

In the meanwhile, how is Tiger Shroff coping with the lockdown? “I’ve been coping by channelizing all my energy into exercising and meditation. I shifted some equipment from my gym to my house. So that’s been a life saver. I continued to work-out from home during the lockdown.”

What has this phase taught Tiger? “This phase has definitely allowed me to spend a lot more time with family. I never had so much time in recent years to be with my parents and my sister. So in a way that’s probably the only positive I can think of during this phase.”

Vivian Dsena gained attention after his leading role in Pyaar Ki Ek Kahaani, Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, and Shakti – Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki. He participated in the seventh season of Khatron Ke Khiladi.

Adhyayan Suman, son of Shekhar Suman, made his Bollywood debut Haal-e-Dil and went onto star in Raaz – The Mystery Continues amongst other films. He grabbed headlines for his relationship with his ex-girlfriend Kangana Ranaut. But, the actor has denied these reports stating he will be a contestant. “False news of me being a part of big boss! Thanks but no thanks! Disrespectful to say the least! #BigBoss @ColorsTV please clarify this! Regards,” he wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.

While it is yet to be confirmed, more participants will be revealed soon before the show kicks off in September.

After taking into consideration the monetary offers by all platforms, it was Netflix who bagged the film by paying the maximum amount,” revealed a source close to the development, adding further that Amazon was also keen to have the film in their library considering that director, Alankrita Shrivastava’s last release, Lipstick Under My Burkha grabbed some eyeballs on their platform. “She also helmed Made In Heaven with Zoya Akhtar for Amazon. However, after a lot of discussions, her directorial finally went to Netflix.”

The story of the film revolves around two cousins Dolly and Kajal and about a secret shared by them. Major chunk of the film was set at a studio in Mumbai and also features Vikrant Massey in a pivotal role. The film is said to be a strong take on women empowerment and feminism, and considering a digital release, it is expected to grab more eyeballs than what it would have in theatres.

There’s been an outpouring of messages from industry members and fans all across for the Bachchan family. While Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan have been admitted to Nanavati hospital, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya Bachchan are in-home quarantine.

Their staff members have also given the swab tests and waiting for their results. A civic official revealed that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared Bachchan family’s four bungalows – Jalsa, Pratiksha, Janak, and Vatsa – as containment zones and sealed them.

The security has been beefed up both at their bungalows and at Nanavati hospital.

Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aaradhya test negative for coronavirus

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have been tested positive for Covid-19. The news was confirmed by the actors on July 11 after they were admitted to Mumbai’s Nanavati hospital. Amitabh complained of breathing problems and was admitted immediately.

After being admitted to the hospital, Amitabh Bachchan posted a picture and wrote, “T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Abhishek Bachchan also took to Twitter to reveal his diagnosis and wrote, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. ????????.”

In another tweet, he added, “The BMC has been in touch and we are complying with them. ????????.”

Arjun Kapoor resumes work with an ad shoot, says every one of us will have to adjust to the new normal

India went into lockdown four months back and that pulled the curtains down on Bollywood, an intimately functioning industry where scores of people manage a set and actors always work in proximity. With social distancing the norm now, the unlocking period is seeing the industry and its stars trying to restart operations. Arjun Kapoor is one of the earliest celebs to be back on the sets and he is advocating for work to resume.

Arjun says, “I think every one of us will have to adjust to the new normal and slowly start resetting our lives. Things have changed forever but we will all have to work, we will all have to support our families. So, everyone concerned will make their environment as safe as possible so that all are protected and we resume some sort of normalcy on our work front. I shot for the first time after 4 months.”

The actor reveals that adequate safety measures on the sets of his commercial shoot put him at complete ease! “I have to admit that I was a bit jittery at the start but seeing all the safety measures in place, I became absolutely fine in no time. Naturally, the initial days of us stepping out to work again will be a little difficult for all of us psychologically. But today, I’m more confident of shooting and being around people on the sets because I have seen the extensive preparations that people are taking to ensure we have the highest safety measures on the sets.”

Arjun has a number of shoots lined up in the days to come. “It felt very good to resume work and I’m looking forward to my next shooting days,” he ends.

Amit Masurkar, director of Sherni told a daily, that they only plan to resume shooting after September. They don’t want to endanger the lives of their cast and crew. So they are waiting and will chalk of the schedule post-August.

Sherni is directed by Amit Masurkar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Krishan Kumar, and Amit Masurkar, the film is written by Aastha Tiku.

Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan makers dismantle football arena set, to rebuild makeshift field before November

Film and TV productions are resuming slowly after restrictions have been lifted amid lockdown due to the novel Coronavirus. Production houses are suffering losses due to schedule delays and many have even dismantled some of their sets because it remains unused. Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan was supposed to begin the next schedule in March. The team had begun making makeshift stadium in Mumbai for football scenes. Reportedly, over Rs. 7 crores have been spent on the set.

But, now they have dismantled the football arena set and will rebuild it before the schedule begins in November.  Given the rains would destroy the set completely; the makers decided to pull it down and will have it rebuilt from October onwards right before the next schedule. The rebuilding will also add to the expenses. Since the shooting is still pending, the makers have shifted the release to August 2021.

Maidaan is a story of one of the finest football coaches that emerged from India, the one who put India on the world map. It is based on the Golden years of Indian Football and will see Ajay Devgn essay the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim who is also known as the father of Indian football for his achievements in making India a top nation in Football during his lifetime.
