Here’s some of the Marvel TV shows set to arrive after Avengers: Endgame. Marvel Studios has built a cinematic empire on the backs of Marvel Comics and with the Marvel Cinematic Universe earning over $18 billion earned at the box office, the superhero boom has translated to the small screen as well.
Marvel Television has been incredibly busy over the last several years, as content has been made for ABC, Netflix, Hulu, Freeform, FOX, and more. Even though most of these channels and streaming services still have more programming on the way, Marvel Studios is now getting involved on the small screen with Disney+. The movie studio will be responsible for creating and overseeing several new TV shows that’ll be released and intersect with a post-Avengers: Endgame world.
With Avengers: Endgame just over a week away from hitting theaters though, Screen Rant’s newest video takes a look towards the future of the MCU, but specifically on the small screen. The video – which can be found at the top of this post – runs through several of the TV shows that will either be debuting or returning after Avengers: Endgame hits theaters.
Many of the entries in the video will find their home on Disney’s streaming service. Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige recently confirmed that WandaVision, a mini-series starring Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Vision (Paul Bettany), is in the works. They also just revealed the logo for Falcon & Winter Soldier, which will see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan star as the respective friends to Captain America. There will also be a Tom Hiddleston-led Loki series, while an animated series titled What If is also in development, and will tell alternate versions of stories based around MCU events – such as Peggy Carter becoming Captain America instead of Steve Rogers.
Of course, the future of Marvel TV expands beyond Disney+. Hulu previously announced a new batch of animated shows that’ll take place in the same shared universe and build towards a crossover event, The Offenders. Characters like Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K, Tigra, and Dazzler will be the stars here. There’s even some shows that will return after Avengers: Endgame is released, such as season 6 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the third and final seasons of Jessica Jones and Legion. The majority of the focus may be on what new movies will arrive after Avengers: Endgame, but at least we know that there will be plenty of new content on the small screen too.
