Black Ops 4 Beginners Guide: How to Play (& Win) in Zombies Mode

The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 brings with it a variety of different gameplay options for players. Although plenty of eyes seem to be on the title’s battle royale mode, Blackout, the traditional multiplayer modes like Team Deathmatch are still available. Also returning is the franchise’s Zombies game mode, this time with more options than ever before.

Indeed, Zombies is something of a different beast this time around. The mode comes complete with three maps, with two of them on the expansive side to boot. As such, new players might find it a little bit daunting, particularly given the intricacies of the game mode in comparison to some of the more simplistic elements of Call of Duty.

Thankfully, new players can get a head start thanks to this guide. Read on to learn how to play Zombies mode, as well as some good strategies to help get that first win in what can be a tense and difficult part of Call of Duty.

What’s New In Zombies Mode?

This time around, Zombies is huge, with three different scenarios to choose from. Two of these revolve around Scarlett Rhodes and her band of misfits, with Voyage of Despair taking place aboard an RMS Titanic that had to handle a zombie threat alongside hitting an iceberg, while IX takes the team back in time to face gladiatorial combat in a Roman coliseum. Alongside this, there’s also the option to play Blood of the Dead, with the return of Richtofen, Dempsey, Takeo, and Nikolai.

Within that, the core gameplay loop remains the same. Survive waves of the zombie horde, unlocking areas of the map as and when the points are available, as the fight gets progressively tougher and tougher. This time around, though, it’s fair to say that the levels feel a little more maze-like and expansive, so make sure to be aware of the surroundings at all times to stop from getting stuck in a bottleneck.

Prioritize Your Points

As always, using points effectively is extremely important in Zombies. First and foremost, opening up areas of the map is a given, but more pressing is how the player uses their points towards perks and weapons. Although in early waves things like shotguns and pistols are all well and good, it’s important to aim to get weapons that have a faster fire rate and (most importantly) a faster reload rate as the game progresses. As such, look to weapons like the Spitfire or GKS to be most effective.

It’s also very important to improve the power of weapons as the game goes on. The most obvious way to do this is to keep returning to the Pack-a-Punch Machines once available, which give a 25% boost with each use. This does come at a considerable cost of 2,500 points per use, but it’s an undeniable way to get that firepower up.

Keep Moving

Staying static for too long in Zombies this time around is a recipe for disaster, as there is always the very real threat of being overrun by the horde. Whereas previous games could work with players cementing a position with a strong defensive line, at least for early portions of the game it’s recommended to keep moving. Not only does it avoid the issue of getting stuck in one place, but it also will keep players refreshed when it comes to where the different unlock options are in the map.

Keeping space from zombies is important for reasons other than this, too. Should one member of the team fall, they’ll have to be revived, and with a slightly longer revive time in Black Ops 4 it’s more vital than ever to have enough room to revive a teammate without having chunks taken out by an unseen zombie. This is particularly true when it comes to those special zombies that attack, so always keep an eye out.

Use Your Perks

In Black Ops 4‘s Zombies mode, players are able to use class customization for the first time. This isn’t just there for show, either, as a good grasp of what perks are available and how to use them can make the difference between success and failure. What’s more, the perks that can be chosen can actually work well for a variety of different play styles.

Those who want both power and speed could choose the likes of Deadshot Dealer, which automatically targets the zombie’s head when aiming down the sights, as well as Stamin-Up for a permanent boost to movement speed. Meanwhile, the frost explosion created by Winter’s Wail and the increased ammunition of Bandolier Bandit work well for those whose last stand may come from a more secure position. In essence, it comes down to how an individual best plays the game, and it’s good to have a variety of perks in the team to make the most of these options.

Work Together

As always, teamwork is the key to having an easier run of things in Zombies. Although it’s possible to play the game solo, this is always a challenge, and to help with this there are now bots to play with. Even so, it’s best to play with other human players, and as such taking on the game as a team of four is recommended.

It’s not just a matter of getting other human beings involved in the zombie slaughter, however. Working together cooperatively is key; don’t stray too far from one another, watch out for any fallen that need reviving, and potentially coordinate the perks used to make sure that everyone has bases covered for any eventuality. That way, the team should be set for what the game throws at them.

With these tips in mind, players should now have a solid framework to build on to get through the game’s Zombies mode. Whether taking a trip back in time to arena combat or trying to fight off zombified versions of Jack and Rose, Zombies is always a challenge for players, but with this guidance in mind players should be able to have a fighting chance of beating the supernatural threat.

How Game of Thrones Prevented Set Photos From Spoiling the Series Finale

When it comes to avoiding spoilers for Game of Thrones, filmmakers are taking no chances for season 8. The story of Game of Thrones started in 1996 when author George R.R. Martin published his book titled A Game Of Thrones, which stands as his first entry in his A Song of Ice and Fire series. His series of novels is what HBO decided to adapt into Game of Thrones which came on the air in 2011.

The show has been running for seven seasons, but Game of Thrones very quickly became one of HBO’s most popular TV shows. The series has a truly ensemble cast including actors like Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harington, and Lena Headey. All of these characters survived the end of season 7, but it is up in the air whether they will survive the eighth and final season. Thankfully, spoilers for the upcoming season haven’t leaked yet, which is because HBO is taking special precautions to ensure that doesn’t happen.

According to EW, HBO is using new high-tech instruments to make sure drones cannot fly over filming locations called a “Drone Killer“. Previously, Game of Thrones has had leaks due to flying drones and even actual photographersAs explained by actress Sophie Turner at New York Comic Con, “If a drone flies above sets, there’s a thing that can kill the drones, which is really cool. It creates a field around it and the drones just drop. It’s very X-Men.” While this new development will no doubt help contain spoilers on the highly anticipated season, the show has still had trouble in the past keeping elements of the plot a secret.

Last August, hackers stole 1.5 terabytes of data from HBO which contained Game of Thrones scripts as well as the cast’s personal information. The leak was a big blow to HBO as people were less inclined to tune in if the episodes had been spoiled. The filmmakers behind the newest season seem to not be playing games when it comes to season 8. In addition to this, the Game of Thrones scripts now supposedly vanish after the scenes have been filmed. It was also rumored that the show would film multiple endings, but those rumors have since been debunked by the cast.

Even though Game of Thrones is still quite a ways away, the eighth season is looking to be the biggest one yet (despite being the shortest in number of episodes). After all, this season will feature the biggest battle in Game of Thrones history. The series will also have to effectively tie up each of the characters storylines and finally reveal who will sit atop the Iron Throne. Regardless of what HBO has in store for fans, they are doing everything they can to ensure that this season doesn’t get spoiled early.

10 Most Powerful Weapons In Fortnite (And 10 That Are Completely Worthless)

The multi-platform game Fortnite has taken the world by storm. Upon its release in 2017, it quickly became the most popular game across the masses. The game is free to play, though additional “skins” can be purchased, using the game’s currency “V-bucks,” which of course, must be purchased using real money. The weapons in the game, however, are 100% free.

Fortnite boasts a vast number of weapons that can all be found throughout the game’s various locations. Players can search chests and vending machines, inside of which loot can be found. Amongst this loot, players will find weapons, healing jugs, and other items. The contents of loot chests are a surprise each time. The location of these chests are fixed, however, and only a certain number will appear at a time.

There is yet another way to acquire items, however, which will cause other players to growl in frustration. In the game , players battle against each other, and the victor can gain all of the loot from those they defeat. Loot only lasts for that existing game, as each player starts over at zero after each match. Players also keep their eyes out for floor loot, llamas, and supply drops. The llamas look like a pinata from a birthday party. Destroying these will also produce various sought-after items. Supply drops contain a large amount of loot, and float in via a hot air balloon box.

While some loot chests include powerful items and weapons, others should be ignored, as they might contain some of these utterly useless weapons.

Here’s a list of the 10 Most Powerful Weapons In Fortnite (And 10 That Are Worthless).

21 Powerful: SCAR (Legendary)

Most Fortnite players know this Legendary Assault Rifle as SCAR and are eager to obtain it. SCAR stands for Special Combat Assault Rifle. This variant of the assault rifle packs a punch, as it rakes out 198 damage per second and has a 30-round magazine. It is the perfect weapon for medium range battles.

This assault rifle has great precision and can fire 5.5 rounds per second. Because of this, it is the main choice for every player’s arsenal.

This favorite weapon can be found in vending machines, floor loot, chests, and supply drops. Players have a 30.8% chance of getting it in a supply drop. It is based on the Belgian assault/battle rifle Fabrique Nationale SCAR, which was introduced in 2009.

20 Worthless: Guided Missile (Epic)

The guided missile was vaulted in season 3 following complaints of being too overpowered. However, it was re-released in the season 5.10 update with some changes. These alterations included reduced movement skill, reduced turn radius, and reduced damage. Using it makes players vulnerable to attacks from opponents, as you must be out in the open to fire it.

It delivers 74 damage to health and 400 damage to structures. We’re not saying that this weapon doesn’t get the job done, it just isn’t amongst the best weapons. The Epic Guided Missile is fun to use to destroy structures but that’s about it, as it is a risky weapon to use. Guided missiles can be found in chests and supply drops.

19 Powerful: Heavy Shotgun (Legendary)

The Legendary Heavy Shotgun is a heavier version of the Tactical Shotgun. It also has a longer range and an increased firing rate, with its overall damage per second being 77. With a higher range, it is great for mid to late gameplay when players are moving away from close-quarter contact. If you come across a Legendary Heavy Shotgun, you should definitely pick it up, as its powerful punch can help lead to victory.

This shotgun has a slight resemblance to the Franchi SPAS-12, which is an Italian manufactured shotgun. The Legendary Heavy Shotgun can be found in chests and supply drops. Players have a 50% chance of finding it in supply drops and only a 12.4% chance of finding it in chests.

18 Worthless: Pistol

This small firearm has two variants: Common and Uncommon. Most players will pass up this gun when they come across it or replace it quickly with something stronger. The damage it delivers is not the greatest, with 23-24 health and 23-24 structural damage. It does, however, have a 16-round magazine and a firing rate of 6.75 per second.

In close combat, it will get the job done, but be careful if you decide to go up against an opponent with a shotgun.

Using this firearm over long distances is a bad idea and a waste of time.  Starting out the match with this weapon gives players at least some fighting ability. Pistols are only found in floor loot.

17 Powerful: Compact SMG (Legendary)

While there are multiple versions of submachine guns in Fortnite, the Legendary Compact Submachine Gun delivers the most damage to structures and opponents at 22 and 21, respectively. It has a fire rate of 10 rounds per second and a magazine size of 40, with a reload time of 2.97 seconds. It also boasts 210 damage per second.

The Legendary Compact Submachine Gun is definitely a weapon that players want in their arsenal, so be sure not to pass it up. This Fortnite weapon was inspired by the FN P90, a Belgium made submachine gun that was created in 1990. It can be found in chests, floor loot, and supply drops.

16 Worthless: Scoped Assault Rifle

The Scoped Assault Rifle in Fortnite has two different variations: Rare and Epic. This weapon delivers a mere 23-24 health damage and 25-26 structural damage, respectively. One good thing that the Scoped Assault Rifle has going for it, though, is its pinpoint accuracy, which makes it easier to use than some other weapons.

The rifle has a 3.5 round per-second firing rate. We’re not saying that this rifle is not worth picking up, but it should be replaced by a more powerful weapon the first chance you get. It can be found in chests, floor loot, and supply drops. This Fortnite weapon is loosely inspired by the AK-12, H&K 416, and the H&K G36C, combining an assault rifle with a sniper rifle.

15 Powerful: Grenade Launcher (Legendary)

The Legendary Grenade Launcher is the perfect choice for destroying structures, as it has a whopping 410 damage. It fires rockets from its 6 round magazine and has a reload time of 2.17 seconds. Damage to opponents is 110. This weapon is great to use against another players’ structures, which can lead to their elimination if they happen to be located nearby.

To use it efficiently, players must aim higher than their target to compensate for the arc trajectory.

Players should also avoid using in small areas, as the grenades can bounce back off of a surface before exploding. This weapon is inspired by the Mikor MGL that originated in South Africa in 1981. It can be found in chests and supply drops.

14 Worthless: Burst Assault Rifle (Common)

The Burst Assault Rifle has five different variations: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The Common Burst Assault Rifle deals out 27 health damage and 81 structural damage. It does have a 30-round magazine with a 1.75 rounds per second firing rate, however.

Bullets are fired in bursts of 3 at a time. The rifle has a 2.9 second reload time. The Burst Assault Rifle is best used in medium range combat. It’s better to avoid using this rifle against far opponents, as it is not very effective. It can be found in chests, and floor loot.  The legendary version of this rifle can also be found in supply drops, as well as in chests and floor loot.

13 Powerful: Heavy Sniper (Legendary)

Delivering 51.81 damage per second to health and 1100 to structures, the Legendary Heavy Sniper Rifle is a devastating weapon. The only downside is the long reload time, as it takes 4.05 seconds each time. Compared to other sniper rifles in the game, it has less of a bullet drop. So it’s important to take this into account when aiming at targets.

Its long range ability makes it the perfect weapon to use against unsuspecting opponents at far distances. With the Legendary Heavy Sniper, players should find a location with a great vantage point like a tower. However, be sure to have good cover, since reloading takes a while. This weapon closely resembles the Barrett M82 Anti-Material Rifle, which was standardized by the U.S. military as the M107. It can be found in floor loot, chests, supply drops, and vending machines.

12 Worthless: Minigun

The Minigun may look like a firearm that packs a punch, but looks can be deceiving. The Minigun has two variations: Epic and Legendary. However, it the gun is often overlooked since it lacks power. Its health damage comes in at 18-19, while its structural damage is 32-33. It has a high fire rate at 12-rounds per second, which makes it good for destroying structures. Upon pulling the trigger of this machine gun, there is a short delay before it begins to fire.

This delay can be dangerous, however, especially if you’re facing off against opponents whose weapons aren’t as delayed.

Because of this, it’s better to replace it with a more powerful weapon the first chance you get. The Minigun can be found in chests and supply drops.

11  6. Powerful: RPG (Legendary)

This explosive weapon deals out a devastating amount of damage. It can deal out 413 damage to structures and 121 to opponents. The Legendary RPG also has a very large range, which makes it a great choice for taking out bases.

Surprisingly, players can also ride on the rockets and some have even used them to cross the entire map. In order to do this, multiple rockets must be fired for the continuous ride. This, however, is not the easiest thing to do. The Legendary RPG can be found in chests and supply drops. The real-life inspiration for this Fortnite weapon is the RPG-7. RPG is commonly known to stand for Rocket-Propelled Grenade.

10 Worthless: Dual Pistols

The Dual Pistols comes in two variations: Rare and Epic. Considered a step above the Pistol, the Dual Pistols is considered as a 2 round burst weapon. Players should make sure that they take time to aim when using the Dual Pistols, however, as this isn’t always the easiest thing to do.

The Dual Pistols deliver a health damage of 41 for the Rare variation and 43 for the Epic variation. Because of this, it is one of the most powerful pistols. However, it doesn’t stand up against many other weapons. Like other pistols, if this is the only weapon available, you should definitely pick it up, as it will deliver more damage than the pickaxe. The Dual Pistols can be found in chests and floor loot, though players are most likely to find it in chests.

9 Powerful: Double Barrel Shotgun (Legendary)

This Fortnite weapon comes as both Epic and Legendary variants. However, the Legendary version is much better. The Legendary Double Barrel Shotgun is great for close range battle, as it delivers 228 damage per second to health and 90 to structures.

Though it is not ideal for long range use, it packs a punch in close quarters.

If opponents put some distance between themselves and the business end of this shotgun, it will yield very little damage. It is, however, capable of delivering two shots rapidly. The Legendary Double Barrel Shotgun is sure to take down any enemies who are unlucky enough to come face-to-face against it. The Legendary Double Barrel Shotgun can be found in chests, floor loot, and supply drops.

8 Worthless: Stink Bomb

This nose hair-burning explosive releases a stinky gas cloud upon detonation. The gas appears as a yellow cloud and lasts about nine seconds. The Stink Bomb deals out 5 health damage every half-second and it can even bypass shields. Players that throw this unpleasant explosive must be careful, though, as they can also take damage from it. Teammates, however, will not suffer any damage from the Stink Bomb.

The Stink Bomb resembles real-life mustard gas or tear gas. It can be found in chests, floor loot, supply drops, and llamas. Though it can be dangerous, the Stink Bomb isn’t as threatening as many players assume. Because of this, it should be replaced as soon as players find a more powerful weapon.

7 Powerful: Damage Trap

Unlike other items on this list, the Damage Trap is a trap, and therefore is not a firearm. The Damage Trap can be placed on any surface that accepts traps. Players are able to place it on ceilings, floors, and even walls. It delivers 150 of damage to players’ health.

The Damage Trap is typically set and then left for unsuspecting and unfortunate players to come across. However, it can also be used by placing it down after trapping a player, so that they have no way to avoid it. Fortnite has had other traps in the past, but most of those have been vaulted. This uncommon weapon can be found in floor loot and supply llamas.

6 Worthless: Hand Cannon

Another pistol to make our list is the Hand Cannon, which has two variations: Epic and Legendary. While it can be useful against medium and long range targets, it is difficult to use in close range combat.

It also has a low fire rate of 0.8 rounds per second and, unfortunately, it isn’t very accurate.

However, if a player is lucky enough to land a shot on their target at close range, it will most likely get the job done. While it does deal out 60-62.4 health damage and 79-83 structural damage, it’s definitely worth replacing with a more powerful weapon later in the game. The Hand Cannon can be found in chests and floor loot.

5 Powerful: Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle (Legendary)

The Legendary Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle packs a heavy punch with its 15-round magazine. It has a 2.07 second reload time, which could be worse. It can also deliver 66.6 damage per second.

With the thermal scope, players have the ability to see chests, supply drops, llamas, and even enemy heat signatures. This makes the Legendary Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle a great scouting tool. Players would be crazy to pass this up if they came across it. Even without its thermal abilities, it is still a great weapon to have in any arsenal. It can be found in chests, supply drops, and floor loot. However, players have the highest chance at finding this weapon in a supply drop. It was inspired by an AR15 assault rifle.

4 Worthless: Tactical Shotgun

Fortnite has three variations of the Tactical Shotgun: Common, Uncommon, and Rare. The Common version has the worst reload time of the three at 6.3 seconds. It delivers only 67 health damage and 50 structural damage.

In close quarters, it can be useful to suppress an enemy. However, it does not have the quickest of fire rates, with its rate stuck at 1.5 rounds per second. Out of all of the shotguns available in the game, the Tactical deals out the least amount of damage. However, it is better than some of the other weapons at close range, like the pistol or suppressed pistol. The Tactical Shotgun can be found primarily in floor loot.

3 Powerful: Heavy Sniper Rifle (Epic)

A tier down from its Legendary counterpart, the Epic Heavy Sniper Rifle deals 150 damage to health and 1050 damage to structures. Its reload time is a little long at 4.275 seconds, but it makes up for it in destruction.

Released during August 15th’s update, the Epic Heavy Sniper Rifle quickly became a fan-favorite with players who quickly began to experiment with the best situations for its use. Many players choose to carry two of these at once so that they can quickly switch between the two to deliver the most damage. While it may not have a quick fire rate at 0.33 rounds per second, it makes up for it in damage. It can be found in chests, floor loot, and supply drops. Like the Legendary version, it resembles the real-life Barrett M82.

2 Worthless: Submachine Gun

Fortnite offers three variations of a Submachine Gun: Common, Uncommon, and Rare. However, none of these are very powerful weapons. Both the health and structural damage of the three different types ranges from 17-19.  It does have a fire rate of 12 rounds per second, though, making it good for close to medium range combat.

Its magazine has a capacity of 30 rounds, which makes up for the low amount of damage that it deals out. It can get the job done, but overall, it is less powerful than a large number of the weapons offered in the game. It may look awesome, but it is definitely lacking. The Submachine Guns can be found in chests, floor loot, and sometimes in supply drops.

1 BONUS: Quad Launcher (Coming Soon)

According to an in-game notification, this long-awaited weapon will be making its debut in Fortnite very soon. In the notification, this weapon is said to “quickly fire up to 4 rockets to blanket an area with explosive damage.”

The Quad Launcher is a shoulder mounted rocket launcher and it is already building up a reputation, as many fans are excited for its introduction into the game. Players will have to wait to find out exactly how much health and structure damage this new weapon will deliver, though, as many details are still unknown. One thing is for sure, though: this anticipated rocket launcher will definitely be something to write home about.

Are there any other powerful or worthless Fortnite weapons that we missed? Let us know in the comments!

Daredevil Faces Kingpin & Bullseye In Stunning Season 3 Fan Poster

Matt Murdock finds himself in the crosshairs of Bullseye and Kingpin, thanks to a new fan poster for season 3 of Daredevil. The wait for new episodes has been a long one. The first series dropped on Netflix in early 2015 to critical acclaim. A second season rapidly followed, premiering less than a year later. The Devil of Hell’s Kitchen was last seen, however, forming The Defenders with Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand. The series was met with a lukewarm reaction, with even star Charlie Cox criticizing the pace. Regardless, the team-up show ended on a huge cliffhanger, setting up promising things for Daredevil season 3.

Daredevil will pick up with the world still believing Matt and Daredevil to be dead. Secretly, however, he will still be recovering from his injuries at a nunnery. Wilson Fisk’s release from prison – despite still being in FBI custody – however, will draw him back from the shadows and into conflict with a nemesis that fans have been eager to see since the show was first announced. Bullseye was teased via an Easter egg in season 1 but has officially been confirmed as a season 3 villain. A recent teaser even offered a first look at Bullseye in action.

Related: Daredevil Season 3 Villain Bullseye’s Comic Book Origins

A new fan poster created and uploaded on Twitter by artist Rico Jr plays out this dual threat in stunning fashion. The image finds Daredevil, in his full red outfit, staring down the literal bullseye of the iconic villain’s trademark symbol. The shadowy silhouette of Wilson Fisk looms large behind him, no doubt referencing his being the architect of Matt Murdock’s upcoming suffering. Check out the full image below:

The image is a striking one that fans will surely want hanging on their walls. As well as perfectly summing up the dynamics that will be on display in season 3, it looks like something itself straight from a comic.

In terms of the comic, season 3 will apparently put the more mythological elements such as The Hand on the backburner. Instead, Daredevil will serve as more of a crime thriller. This feels like as wise a choice as the brushstrokes that went into crafting the above image. The Netflix/Marvel shows were, after all, originally billed as a gritty, street-level interpretation of superheroes. While such mystical elements are, to a degree, able to work on Iron Fist, it only served to complicate the tone in past seasons of Daredevil.

Although the Netflix heroes technically exist in the world of The Avengers and alien invasions, the shows are best when exploring more character-driven stories. Rather than tackling immortal ninjas, Daredevil is better served using the concept of superheroes to explore relatable themes and issues, much like Luke Cage and Jessica Jones before it.

Assassin’s Creed: 20 Things Only Experts Know How To Do In Odyssey

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – the latest installment in Ubisoft’s wildly popular video game franchise – has finally landed on shelves. Set in Ancient Greece, Odyssey gives players the opportunity to assume the role of a mercenary from either Athens or Sparta, and to take part in a mythology-infused recreation of the Peloponnesian War.

The game features an even greater emphasis on the RPG elements first introduced in its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed Origins, and boasts multiple endings that are triggered by the player’s actions. Odyssey also sees the return of the controversial Hitbox combat engine which debuted in Origins – albeit in a significantly enhanced form. Thanks to these and other challenging core mechanics – not to mention the daunting size of the game’s virtual environment – Odyssey should prove suitably tough for more casual gamers. But for seasoned veterans of the Assassin’s Creed franchise? Not so much.

Indeed, gamers who have followed the series since the very first entry way back in 2007 aren’t likely to struggle. On the contrary, we expect them to flourish, putting to good use the skills and knowledge they’ve gleaned from the past 11 games in the series – not to mention the six spin-off entries – to finish the main quest in record time.  This will leave them free to start focusing on tracking down Odyssey’s hidden Easter eggs, secret areas, and other bonus content clueless rookies don’t have a chance of tracking down unaided.

Here’s a list of 20 Things Only Experts Know How To Do In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.

20 Find The Legend Of Zelda Easter Egg

Of all the many classic video game franchises, few are as unanimously beloved by both gamers and developers alike as The Legend of Zelda series. The team at Ubisoft clearly rank amongst this iconic Nintendo series’ admirers – as the easter egg they tucked away in Odyssey proves.

In a tip of the hat to the most recent Zelda instalment, Breath of the Wild, a Korok – a small humanoid figure made out of clay, flower petals and twigs – can be found on the Pandora’s Cove coastline. Although this hidden tribute is now the most well-known Easter egg in the game, experts had no trouble tracking it down on their own within mere days of Odyssey’s release!

19 Achieve The Secret Ending

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey marks a dramatic change in direction for the franchise – from purely action/adventure outings to something closer to an action/RPG hybrid. This is reflected in how important the player’s actions are to the game’s overall narrative, and in particular, how that narrative reaches its climax.

Indeed, what the player decides to do – or just as importantly, say – will determine how events unfold next, and ultimately determine which of the game’s multiple endings they achieve.

Most players should be able to reach at least one ending.

If you complete every side quest and make all of the right decisions to unlock the secret, ultra ending, ensuring the best possible finale for your mercenary.

18 Visit Atlantis

As soon as Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Ancient Greece setting was announced, fans immediately began speculating over whether the fabled lost city of Atlantis would be part of its virtual environment. The good news is that Ubisoft hasn’t missed a trick, and Atlantis does indeed count among the many sunken locations scattered across the game’s humongous map. The bad news? It’s highly likely that only experts will be capable of uncovering the most eagerly anticipated (not to mention coolest) secret area in Odyssey.

The steps involved are extremely taxing, requiring players to traverse treacherous terrain, solve fiendish riddles posed by the Sphinx and dispatch a bevy of mythological horrors like Medusa, the Cyclops and the Minotaur!

17 Recruit Legendary NPCs Early

Over the course of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, players can enlist NPCs to serve as crew members aboard their ship, the Adrestia. Recruiting a high calibre crew is a great way to upgrade the Adrestia – so the trick is to bring legendary NPCs into the fold. Casual gamers will wait until they unlock these characters by completing quests, however experts are aware of a hidden mechanic that speeds up the whole process.

There’s a less publicized gameplay mechanic which enables you to recruit legendary NPCs by defeating them in combat using non-lethal takedowns.

Better yet, once your ship’s roster is made up entirely of legendary NPCs, you unlock the “Argonauts” trophy, too!

16 Regain The Cyclops Eye

One of the most frustrating moments in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey arrives early on, when you’re forced to give up the Cyclops’ Eye during Sequence 1. It’s not exactly the most classy of disposals, either: to put it bluntly, you squeeze it up the rear end of a poor, unsuspecting goat. If you’re scratching your head over this last revelation, then just trust us: it makes sense at the time!

Rookies will write off the Eye as a lost cause, but experts up to speed on the game’s secrets won’t give up so quickly. By engaging in an exhaustive goat-hunting expedition in Kephallonia, they’ll recover this valuable artifact, earning the dubious “Stink Eye” achievement, as well.

15 Change Their Ship’s Figurehead

Long-time fans of the series will recall that in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, you could easily customize your ship’s decorative figurehead as part of the normal upgrade process. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that carries over to Odyssey – and only expert players are likely to work out the secret method of doing this.

For starters, you need to defeat a boss – not exactly a walk in the park itself, by the way – and then behead them.

Once this has been take care of, if you scroll through the inventory of ship upgrade options, you’ll see your new souvenir listed. Select it, and voila! The Adrestia will have itself a brand new (and rather creepy) figurehead!

14 Track Down All Of The Cultist Clues

The underlying mythology of the Assassin’s Creed franchise incorporates several shadowy organisations – and Odyssey is no exception. The latest entry in the series introduces the nefarious Cult of Kosmos, and players aiming to get the most out of game’s story need to track down and eliminate key members of the group. In order to do so, they’ll have to swap their mercenary’s helmet for their detective’s cap, as the cultists’ whereabouts are only revealed by clues sprinkled through Odyssey’s sprawling Ancient Greece setting.

Some of these hints can be uncovered with little effort, whereas others will prove elusive to all but the most seasoned of gamers!

On the plus side, all of this running around pays off, as only players who chase down every single cultist will get to experience the game’s whole story.

13 Unlock Evie Frye

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – the ninth video game in the main series – is headlined by twins Jacob and Evie Frye. Of the two siblings, Evie is arguably the more memorable – which is probably why she’s an unlockable character in Odyssey. Now, before you get too excited, bear in mind that Evie is a legendary NPC, so you won’t get to play as her directly.

Still, it’s incredibly cool to recruit her as a crew member on your ship, provided you’re an Ubisoft Club member with enough XP to afford her. See, unlocking Evie requires players to part with 7,500 XP in exchange for the “Master Assassin” badge, which only long-time fans of the franchise will have amassed!

12 Access Battle Royale Mode

Battle royale games like Fortnite and Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds are currently the hottest thing on the block. Making the most of modern online multiplayer capabilities, games in this genre pit a pack of players against each other in thrilling, last-man-standing contests.

Obviously, this stands in stark contrast to the single-player, open world experience offered by Assassin’s Creed Odyssey – until experts stumble across the “Call to Arms” sidequest. Found by scouring the island of Melos, this mission – which requires skilled players to wipe out 99 consecutive enemies – represents a thinly-veiled attempt by Ubisoft to acknowledge (or should that be “cash in on”?) the popularity of the battle royale genre!

11 Find The Black Panther Easter Egg

Black Panther is currently the second highest grossing film of 2018, and with that success comes a considerable fanbase, too. At least some of the developers at Ubisoft fall within that category, if the Black Panther Easter egg included in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is anything to go by. As experts will have no doubt already discovered, the game contains a fairly faithful recreation of Black Panther’s two most notable scenes: the duels that occur at the base of a waterfall.

This is staged at the Gortyn Waterfall, where players can first spectate on the melee using Eagle Vision.

That’s not all, though: it’s also possible to clamber up the cliff where the fight is going down, and actually confront the pair of brawlers yourself!

10 Discover Sam Fisher’s Goggles

So far we’ve focused solely on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s Ancient Greece setting – which disregards the fact that certain sections of the game are set in a present day safe house. Anyone unfamiliar with the franchise’s convoluted (some would say downright insane) science fiction elements, just trust us when we say that this does make sense.

Regardless of whether or not you buy into this more far-fetched aspect of the Assassin’s Creed mythology, there are multiple Easter eggs to dig up during these segments. Not all of these relate to the franchise either – just ask the experts who’ve unearthed the iconic, three-lensed night vision goggles worn by Sam Fisher, the protagonist of Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell games!

9 Stumble Across The Sword In The Stone

The team at Ubisoft has done a remarkable job of recreating an utterly convincing (albeit wildly fantastical) rendition of Ancient Greece in Odyssey. This awesome attention to detail is reflected in almost every aspect of the virtual environment, particularly the character and weapon design. We say “almost”, because at least one item experts will undoubtedly come across whilst roaming the game map definitely does not fit the time period depicted: the Sword in the Stone from Arthurian legend. Fortunately, this gag is an intentional mistake on the developer’s part.

Unfortunately, you can’t remove this legendary blade from its Lakonia resting place.

That’s a real shame: historical accuracy be damned – there’s always a place for Excalibur in our armory!

8 Locate The Rabbid Figure

Another easter egg squirrelled away in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s modern era safe house setting, the Rabbid figure is hard to spot if players blitz through these sequences. However, experts tend to favor a more methodical approach – even when confronted by the franchise’s moments of less than engaging gameplay.

These long-time campaigners will cast their eyes over every inch of the safe house, which means snooping around each room, no matter how empty it appears to be. This will eventually lead them to the shelves of a particularly untidy room. Here, they’ll spy the Rabbid toy – a cute shout-out to Ubisoft’s all-ages Rayman franchise, accompanied by a line of dialogue (“Bwaah?”) associated with these bunny-like characters.

7 Acquire The Epic Unicorn Skin

It doesn’t matter what mythology we’re talking about: unicorns are invariably treated as an incredibly rare species. Certainly, this carries over to the world of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, where players can indeed transform their horse into one of these awe-inspiring creatures – provided they can get their hands on a unicorn pelt.

They sport an eye-watering 6,400 Drachmae price tag!

Rookies who are feeling flush will plump for either the Black Unicorn or undeniably amazing (though sadly, non-flying) Pegasus skins, purchased with real-world cash from the Ubisoft Store. On the other hand, genuine experts prefer to earn their keep, and will trawl merchant stalls for the appropriately named, randomly-spawing Epic Unicorn skin, which leaves rainbow hoof prints.

6 Home Town Pride

The developers of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey hail from Ubisoft’s Montreal headquarters, based in Quebec. Like the citizens of any city or town, these guys and gals are proud of the place they call home – so much so that they managed to sneak a Quebec-related easter egg into the game!

It’s something that will almost certainly go unnoticed by less observant gamers, but experienced players – the type of people who scan the entire game environment for secret material – will discover a travel magazine whilst rifling through the safe house. The destination this mag is promoting? Why, Quebec, of course! True, it’s not exactly the most exciting bonus content in Odyssey, but it’s a nice touch all the same.

5 Put The Arena Spikes To Good Use

A key trait which separates veteran Assassin’s Creed players from newcomers is the willingness of the former to experiment with their surroundings. Take the spikes that dotted around the Arena in Odyssey.

Rookies will probably dismiss these as mere set dressing and completely ignore them once the fighting breaks out.

Don’t expect experts to make the same mistake, though. Already clued up on just how interactive the game worlds in the franchise can be, these gamers will immediately identify the potential for the spikes to deal damage to their opponents. The next thing you know, the edges of the Arena will begin to resemble a shish kebab vendor who trades in skewered would-be gladiatorial champions!

4 Reminisce About The Frye Twins

It turns out Assassin’s Creed Syndicate isn’t the only instalment in the franchise to take place in London – Odyssey does, too. True, the vast majority of the game is set in Ancient Greece, but its modern era sections unfold in London, something that won’t come as a shock to more attentive players.

After all, just by gazing out of the safe house windows, you can take in a decent view of London’s famous skyline, with what tourists would recognize as Big Beg especially prominent. What’s more, if you allow yourself a moment to properly contemplate the sight before your eyes, you’ll even trigger a line of dialogue that references Jacob and Evie Frye, the lead characters in Syndicate!

3 Discover All Of The Underwater Locations

As you might expect from a virtual environment that recreates the entire Aegean Sea, Atlantis isn’t the only submerged area on the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey map.

The ocean floor of Ubisoft’s vision of Ancient Greece is littered with dozens of hidden locations brimming with valuable treasure.

Anyone prepared to embrace their inner Jacques Cousteau will be in for a real treat. That said, given the sheer amount of exploration required to pinpoint all of these sunken locations – fun fact: at 130km², Odyssey’s map is 62% bigger than the already massive world of Origins – we’d wager only experts will visit all of them.

2 Get All Of The Other Endings As Well

Sure, everybody wants to get the best possible Assassin’s Creed Odyssey ending – you know: the super secret, totally awesome one we mentioned earlier. Even so, part of being an expert is also having a completist streak, which is why we think they’ll figure out how to achieve Odyssey’s eight other possible endings, as well.

This might not sound like much, but it’s actually quite a feat, for two main reasons. First of all, this game is absurdly long – the main quest alone clocks in at 40 hours of gameplay – so repeating it again and again is no picnic. Secondly, they’ll need to ensure they get every single word and deed right, in order to arrive at their desired conclusion!

1 Climb Up The Naked Statue

Full disclosure: this entry is unashamedly juvenile in nature, given it revolves around players scaling up a male statue and dangling from part of its anatomy (three guesses which part). Regardless, we’re positive that even the most mature expert will decide to do just that, when they pass by this landmark early on in Odyssey – honestly, it’s just too hard to resist.

You’ll be rewarded for your childish antics if you do.

Performing this act initiates a wry line of dialogue from the player’s mercenary, which just goes to show that Ubisoft definitely predicted this becoming a thing. Although to be honest, they hardly needed the talents of one of Ancient Greece’s oracles to foresee it!

Did we miss out any other things that only experts know how to do in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey? Let us know in the comments!

Zoe Saldana Teases Her Return As Gamora On Avengers 4 Set

Zoe Saldana teases her return as Gamora in Avengers 4. Even before reshoots for the Phase 3 capper began, the actress already let it slip that she’d be back as Gamora, despite her fate in Avengers: Infinity War. However, it wasn’t until now that fans finally learned that she’s partaking in the scheduled reshoots that will serve to wrap-up the blockbuster sequel.

One of the most integral relationships in Infinity War was that of Gamora and Thanos, who were finally reunited for the first time following the former joining the Guardians of the Galaxy. Despite what his adopted daughter thought of him, it turns out that the intergalactic villain did love Gamora, which helped make the Mad Titan compelling to viewers. With his goal of balancing the universe now fulfilled, Thanos is enjoying retirement, but with the surviving heroes gearing up to avenge the universe following the galactic genocide, the original Avengers may have one more ally to help them take down Thanos, in the form of Gamora.

Taking to Instagram, Saldana posted an image of her getting prepped to reprise the Gamora role for Avengers 4. The caption may have indicated “flashback,” but it could very well be in reference to Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon,” which lyrics she used in the caption. Additionally, actress Karen Gillan (Gamora’s sister Nebula) also added an Instagram story of her being made-up, using it to announce her last day on set. While some wondered if Saldana’s post might have been a throwback to a prior shoot, the fact that Gillan was on set at the same time lends credence to Saldana’s image being new. Check out Saldana and Gillan’s posts below.

While it’s no secret that Avengers 4 will bring back characters who were dead by the end of Infinity War, resurrecting Gamora will be a bit trickier compared to those who were affected by Thanos’ snap. Instead of being turned to dust, the character was thrown off a cliff, as her life was sacrificed in exchange for the Mad Titan to get the Soul Stone. Of course, since fans don’t really know much about how exactly the exchange works – with a young Gamora seemingly reunited with Thanos in the Soul World – there’s a possibility that she was just trapped in the alternate dimension like some popular theories claim. That said, Marvel Studios would have to craft a solid explanation if they decide to revive her, so as not to cheapen the impact of her emotional death in Avengers 3.

Otherwise, Gamora can appear in Avengers 4 in flashbacks or via time travel. Loki, who also died differently from those who were snapped out of existence, looks likely to make a return in the still-untitled sequel, after leaked set images made their way online last year. His involvement, however, is believed to be limited to flashbacks, as the film revisits the Battle of New York, which he was an integral part of. Considering Gamora’s large part in Thanos’ history, not to mention the fact that Nebula is still around, the sisters’ relationship with their adoptive father could be further explored, and might even factor into the villain’s defeat.

20 Storylines Shameless Wants Everyone To Forget

With the announcement that Emmy Rossum and Cameron Monaghan will leave the series following the ninth season of Shameless, the Gallagher household is prepping for a major shake-up on the casting front. The creator of the Showtime series John Wells has remained open about a future Fiona return, though he has also stated that there are many more dysfunctional tales left to be told for the Gallagher clan.

For eight seasons, Shameless has remained consistent in the deplorable decision-making skills of its characters, though the series’ depiction of a low-income family living below the poverty line has always been at the forefront. As the strong matriarch who single-handedly raised her siblings while her father wasn’t around, Fiona’s absence is sure to shift more focus towards the show’s younger stars as writers hope fans will soon forget her. Ian’s storyline in season 9 drove much of the action, so Monaghan’s exit will surely leave a whole as well.

Whether they’re dealing with the changing gentrification of their community or watching as another beloved character takes their leave, the Gallaghers have proven time and again that they can adapt better than anyone. From the show’s debut back in 2011 until now, the stars of the series have been forced to mature, sometimes faster than they wanted to. Along the way, there have been many entertaining or even head-scratching subplots which have since been left behind. Although the changes are nothing new to the Gallaghers, they have left many questions up in the air for fans.

Join us as we take a look back at 20 Storylines Shameless Wants Everyone to Forget.

20 Frank and Bianca

After Sammi shoots Frank in the arm to teach him a valuable lesson about courtesy, she forces him to visit the hospital to have his wound checked. During his stay, he begins bonding with his distraught doctor Bianca, whose diagnosis of stage three pancreatic cancer has left her with a new lease on life. Attempting to persuade her to live life to the fullest, Frank offers to teach her how to live carelessly, which includes a copious amount of substance abuse.

Although Frank’s time with Bianca was intended as a heart-wrenching moment which left him reeling the following season, it was never clear why the successful, young doctor would choose to spend her remaining days with him. With her money, she could seemingly spend her days anywhere. There’s little reason to believe Frank would appear as an enticing option.

19 Lip’s Sports Gambling Internship

With an exceptionally high IQ, Lip isn’t the standard member of the Gallagher household, though his self-sabotaging personality has prevented him from achieving a legitimate career. Accepted into the University of Chicago, he threw away his future after an assault on a campus guard led to his expulsion. Following a stint in rehab, Lip secured an internship with a tech start-up, thanks to his friend, Professor Youens.  Soon, however, he discovered the truth behind the company. His co-workers were using proxy servers to hide illegal sports gambling activities.

Although the crooked start-up appeared as a perfect match, nothing would come of it.

He temporarily used a wire fraud scheme to steal cash from the company, but in due time, the start-up went under and Lip was left without a career goal once again.

18 Kevin Discovers His Kentucky Heritage

Season eight concluded with a strange hodgepodge of storylines for Kevin, which included a search for self-identity as he tracked down his biological parents and found himself in Kentucky. Once he arrived, he was introduced to Aunt Ronnie and the rest of the family, immediately settling in and recalling his past as Little Barty. Unfortunately, V immediately sensed something wrong about the group, apart from their offhanded racist remarks.

As a small child, the low-income family struggled to properly raise Kev, resorting to abandoning him at a roadside gas station. He eventually learned to accept his heritage, although he seemed to quickly forget all about it soon after. Kev would have other moments of a self-identity crisis in season eight, including exploring his possible attraction to men, but his Kentucky lineage would ultimately become an afterthought.

17 Fiona Marries Gus, Then Immediately Cheats on Him

Speaking of his character on Shameless, star Steve Kazee said Fiona’s former husband Gus Pfender “got a really raw deal” over the way his storyline ended. After meeting the eldest Gallagher sibling, the two went from strangers to married seemingly overnight.

When Jimmy’s return visit catches Fiona off guard, she’s faced with an ultimatum.

Either run away with Jimmy or stay with Gus, whom she’s known for a few days. Her reaction is to throw away her newfound relationship for the temptation of her ex-boyfriend. She cheats on Gus then immediately regrets it, but by then it’s too late. Her marriage to Gus is over and any remnants of it are completely forgotten by the writing staff.

16 Debbie Steals a Baby

Before Debbie was doing crazy things like stealing expensive baby strollers to support Frances or having Liam amputate her toes to avoid undergoing a pricey surgery on her crushed foot, she was just a lonely girl looking for a playmate.

In the episode “Casey Casden”, Debbie grows tired of playing with a sack of potatoes decorated to look like a baby.

Rather than asking for a new doll, she takes matters into her own hands when she lures a three year old boy back to the Gallagher residence. The Gallaghers then spend the episode concocting a plan to call in false sightings of the child with the cops finally finding him with Debbie, who acts like she found him wandering around Chicago. Needless to say, it was a crazy storyline that the show’s producers haven’t attempted since.

15 Anything Involving Sammi or Chuckie

Frank’s estranged daughter Sammi is first introduced in season four after Frank discovers his liver in failing. Posing as a Good Samaritan, he begins dating her to grow closer before dropping the devastating bombshell. Oddly enough, however, she’s not disgusted at all by the news and even embraces her new father figure, despite his countless shortcomings.

By season five, Sammi has acquainted herself enough with the Gallaghers to move into the household, though she was never invited. When her son Chuckie is later arrested and sent to juvenile detention for possession, she blames Carl, later ratting him out to the authorities. As a result, a dispute breaks out which ends with Mickey locking her inside a shipping container and Sammi later shooting at him, presumably leading to her arrest and the end of her story.

14 Fiona Cheats on Mike with His Brother

With her recent investments in Patsy’s Pies as well as a laundromat and an apartment complex, Fiona’s newfound entrepreneurial spirit has only recent become a central part of her storyline. Prior to becoming a property owner, she was a down on her luck South Side girl who constantly found herself in failing relationships.

In season four, Fiona’s downward spiral of relationships hit another low.

She was in desperate need of a rebound following Jimmy’s disappearance. After securing a job at Worldwide Cup, she began having a fling with her boss Mike. When Mike’s brother Robbie comes into the picture after his release from rehab, Fiona’s attraction to danger takes ahold. Putting her career in jeopardy, she has an unwise affair which culminates in her arrest at the end of the season.

13 Frank Uses Liam as Collateral

Scouring Chicago for enough money to support his many dirty habits, Frank has attracted the attentions of enough bad guys that it’s a miracle that he’s manage to run around carelessly for so long. In the season two premiere, he again backed himself into a corner when he drunkenly bet a bar patron at the Alibi Room that he couldn’t remain conscious after two taser blasts. After the customer manages to remain on two feet, Frank’s $10,000 gamble comes at the expense of the Gallagher household.

Unable to come up with the dough, the patron threatens Frank with a blowtorch, to which he responds by offering up Liam as collateral. Luckily, the Gallagher clan rallies together to get him back. Frank would later develop a bonding relationship with his youngest son, completely erasing all memory of the incident.

12 Kevin and Veronica’s Foster Child

With twins Amy and Jemma, Kevin and Veronica finally settled down to have children of their own after V became pregnant in season four. Prior to having their own kids, the couple were experimenting with parenthood in the form of a money scheme which saw them taking in a foster child in order to collect money from the government.

In season one, Kev and V welcome Ethel, a teen saved from a polygamist colony where she was married to an elderly man named Clyde.

They also took in Ethel’s son Jonah, who was born as a result of the marriage. Over the course of her stay, she struggles to grow accustomed to the modern world, but eventually settles in, until she runs away with her boyfriend Malik in season two, disappearing forever.

11 Anything Involving Sheila

Remember Sheila? The agoraphobic housewife with a proclivity for cooking was a former love interest of Frank’s, who welcomed him into her home to take advantage of her disability checks. For five seasons, she played the picture-perfect example of a housewife, though her repressed emotions would occasionally rear their ugly head.

Throughout the series, Joan Cusack would receive considerable acclaim for her turn as the wacky, subservient Sheila, earning an Emmy nomination for each season she appeared in. Although she would never receive more than a guest credit, her most memorable storylines would include dealing with her troubled daughter Karen, having an affair with Karen’s boyfriend Jody, and marrying Frank. Her storyline came to a rather abrupt end after her house exploded in season five, resulting in her driving off in an RV, never to be seen again.

10 Frank Hires a Hitman

Always the deadbeat father, Frank experienced a slight morality check when he wasn’t invited toFiona’s wedding to Sean in season six. As a way to make up for all his shortcomings, he offered to pay for all of Fiona’s wedding expenses. Everything came to a head, however, when Sean began sleeping over at the Gallagher residence, resulting in a brutal confrontation between Fiona’s fiance and the lousy patriarch of the household. After days of Frank wearing Sean’s underwear and drinking his milk, Sean’s frustration boiled over, resulting in a fight between the two.

Frank is seen on a train attempting to pay a random guy to dispose of Sean permanently.

Although nothing would come of the exchange, the attempted assassination was out of the ordinary, even for the lowly Frank.

9 Debbie Purposely Gets Pregnant

The third youngest Gallagher, Debbie began the series as the well-intention, younger sister who still held high hopes for Frank and cared for her family, though she often found it difficult to socialize in school. In due time, she transformed from the innocent girl wise beyond her years to one of the most troublesome characters on the show, using her hardened attitude to deceive her way to whatever she desired.

In season five, Debbie’s manipulative personality crossed a line when she became enamored with Derek, a boy who taught her how to box. Wanting a perfect life with her newfound boyfriend, she purposely lies to him about being on birth control in order to become pregnant and force him into a marriage. Unfortunately, her plans fall through when Derek leaves to live with his grandmother, leaving Debs a single mother.

8 Frank Tells Carl He Has Cancer

As the delinquent troublemaker whose interests include weapons, explosives, and various money-making schemes, Carl has proven to be the most like his dear deadbeat father Frank. As a faithful member of the Gallagher family, he’s the unfortunate product of a dysfunctional upbringing, but none of his regrettable actions were deserving of the scare Frank gave him in season five.

After seeing a cancer patient receive an autographed Bulls basketball on television, Frank decides to extort the Make-A-Wish Foundation by giving them a sob story.

Shaving Carl’s head, he convinces him that he has cancer and tries to get him an autographed basketball of his own, that he can later sell for a profit. Instead, Carl is offered a free summer away at a camp for cancer patients, ruining Frank’s plans and giving Carl his own mini vacation.

7 Carl Marries Kassidi

As a way of coming up with enough cash for military school in season eight, Carl sets up his own rehabilitation center in the basement of the Gallagher home, hosting neighborhood addicts for days of withdrawal. It’s here where he first encounters Kassidi, a seemingly sociopathic teen who concocts a plan to extort money from her rich father to pay Carl’s expenses.

Soon after sparking a relationship, Kassidi’s wildly chaotic personality begins threatening Carl’s career goals. As she wanders about Chicago’s South Side doing things like Snapchatting drive-by shooting victims, Carl becomes more wary of her actions, which makes it all the more confusing that he marries her at the end of the season. The season nine premiere seems to have ended her story, however, as the character’s recent disappearance suggests that she may now be deceased.

6 Mandy Hurts Karen

As the manipulative former girlfriend of Lip, Karen was the incessantly rude daughter of the agoraphobic Sheila, who would go to extreme lengths to get her way. After she stops seeing Lip due to her marriage to Jody as well as the birth of her down syndrome son Hymie, Karen decides to start things back up with her former lover, only for Lip rejects her for Mandy.

After brazenly attempting to meddle with Lip and Mandy’s relationship, Karen receives a rude awakening when she receives a text from Lip, which is later revealed to be Mandy using Lip’s phone. Showing up to a park to meet, Karen is struck by an SUV driven by Mandy, leaving her permanently brain damaged, effectively ending her story on the series.

5 Frank Has a Twin Brother

With so many siblings running around and Frank constantly inviting himself in with his various trouble-making shenanigans, it’s impossible for the Gallaghers to keep track of everyone’s comings and goings. That’s why the existence of more Gallaghers seems completely absurd, but as the early seasons have shown, there are more family members out there.

Of all the odd Gallagher members forgotten from the early seasons, none were crazier than Jerry, Frank’s twin brother.

Ian and Lip visit Jery after their grandmother Peggy claims he owes the family $5,000. Looking just like Frank, he threatens to shoot his nephews shortly after realizing they’re after money. Since his appearance, little mention has been made of Frank’s twin or of Frank’s other siblings Clayton and Wyatt.

4 Jimmy’s Return

First appearing as Fiona’s love interest in season one, Jimmy introduced himself to the Gallagher household as Steve, a hotshot businessman who comes from money. Soon afterward, his real personality begins to shine through as Fiona discovers that he makes his money through various illegal activities. In due time, he gets engaged to the daughter of a crime lord, which leads to his supposed demise in the season three finale.

Jimmy returns at the end of season four, becoming a recurring cast member for a brief time.

In an attempt to flatter Fiona, he tries to persuade her to leave her husband Gus for him. Although his return answered questions about his fate, it still left his future up in the air, leaving many to believe his story should have ended with the season three cliffhanger.

3 Frank Lies to Butterface About Her Heart Transplant

Of all the lowdown plans Frank has concocted, perhaps nothing is more despicable than the time he began hanging out with Dottie, a former good-time girl with a heart condition. Nicknamed Butterface for her less than stellar looks, Frank discovers that Dottie is in serious need of a heart transplant, rewarding him the opportunity to weasel his way into her good graces and work his way into her will before she passes away.

Although Frank’s decision proves to be flawed, he fully commits to the scheme. While Dottie is in the shower, she gets a phone call telling her a new heart has arrived which could save her life, only Frank decides to tell the hospital that Dottie has already passed away. Later, Dottie loses her life during an intimate moment with Frank, making his actions even more awful.

2 Kev has a Baby with Veronica’s Mother

As the Gallaghers’ longtime friends, Kevin and Veronica are often the supporting comic relief of the series, though they have also proven to be the strongest lasting couple. In season three, after repeatedly failing to have a baby, V enlists her bubbly mother Carol to act as a surrogate. When Carol also fails to become pregnant, Veronica to suggests her mom and Kevin actually get intimate with each other to possibly improve their results.

In due time, Carol warms up to the idea, becoming pregnant with Kevin’s child. By happenstance, Veronica soon discovers that she too is pregnant, with twins. Nine months later, the couple are the proud parents to three newborns, only Carol decides to single-handedly raise her child on her own. After a few brief appearances, Kevin and Carol’s child is forgotten and never shown again.

1 Everything Positive About Ian and Mickey’s Relationship

As a violent street thug, Mickey Milkovich is the antithesis of the gay stereotype. Ian, whose storied history with Mickey makes up a large portion of his story in the early seasons, is the more sensitive of the couple, but his rebellious nature and struggles with bipolar disorder make him an equally multi-dimensional character.

As one of the best-written gay relationships on television in recent memory, Ian and Mickey’s story was at times chaotic.

After his imprisonment at the end of season five, Mikey escaped from prison and fled to Mexico, tearfully leaving Ian behind. Since then, the positives of their relationship have been largely dismissed and Mickey’s absence has left a void on the show which has yet to be filled.

Jared Leto’s Morbius Movie Aiming to Start Filming In February 2019

Sony plans to start filming Morbius the Living Vampire starring Jared Leto early next year. Sony has their eyes set on launching a cinematic universe of their own however they can. Spider-Man (Tom Holland) may be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but Sony is creating a Spider-Verse of their own. They’ll do so using characters related to Spidey in the comics, although he’s not currently set to appear in any of their in-development movies. Any doubts that the universe would actually take shape were largely squashed this past weekend thanks to Venom successfully launching to record setting numbers.

The next project that is going to come from this universe is a Morbius the Living Vampire movie that stars Leto. Morbius will be directed by Daniel Espinosa (Life) and is currently in pre-production as Sony aims to get the movie actually filming. Early reports pointed to a late 2018 start to production, but the film’s producers have now confirmed when it will officially begin.

Related: Who Is Morbius the Living Vampire & What Are His Powers?

Collider spoke to Sony producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach who are involved with the Spider-Verse and asked them about the status of Morbius. They confirmed the movie is very much happening and coming along nicely thanks to a script by Lost in Space creators Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama. When Arad and Tolmach were asked when Morbius would begin filming, Arad said February is the target, while Tolmach stated, “Yeah, the plan is early part of next year. We’re still working on it.”

This relatively soon start for Morbius should mean the movie begins filming shortly after Venom ends its theatrical run. However, this isn’t an example of them rushing to get this movie made, as they’ve instead been developing it for close to a year. The project is finally at a place where additional announcements should be made as the film’s crew and filming schedule are locked down. Arad previously told us why he and Sony are so excited about Morbius, and the recurring theme to the comments by those involved is Leto’s commitment and interest in the role.

Since Morbius does not currently have a release date set, Sony can operate rather freely when it comes to securing the movie’s production schedule. There’s no mandated time that it must be finished by at this point, although Sony surely would like to get another Marvel property in theaters sooner rather than later. Of course, they will have Spider-Man: Far From Home in theaters next July, so it will be interesting to see if Morbius will be completed in time to have two Spidey-related films hit theaters in 2019. Venom started filming almost exactly a year before it hit theaters, so if Morbius takes a similar approach, then an early 2020 release date could be in its future. As for now, we’ll just have to wait for more details on the movie to arrive as the start of production nears.

Star Wars Rumor: Taika Waititi & Bryce Dallas Howard Star in Mandalorian

Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard may pull double duty with The Mandalorian, as they’re both now rumored to have roles in the series. Disney is investing heavily in their upcoming streaming service. It will include new movies, original Marvel TV series, and even the first ever live-action Star Wars show. The latter will be written and produced by Jon Favreau, but he doesn’t appear to be directing. It’s confirmed that the series will be called The Mandalorian, and fans recently got a look at what the main character looks like, just not who’s under the mask.

While there has been casting rumors pointing to Pedro Pascal possibly headlining the series, the official announcements have, instead, focused on who will be behind the camera. Lucasfilm already announced an impressive list of directors for The Mandalorian, which includes Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, Waititi, and Howard – but directing may not be the only thing the latter two are doing.

According to a new rumor from Discussing Film, Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard may also have acting roles in The Mandalorian. This is just a rumor for the time being and should be taken with a heavy pinch of salt. If this report is accurate, Waititi will be providing the voice of a droid in The Mandalorian, while there’s no potential details on who Howard could play. Neither will be leading roles, but instead minor ones if this is confirmed.

Waititi may be best known now as the director of Thor: Ragnarok after impressive indie comedies What We Do In The Shadows and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, but he’s also spent time as an actor. He’s starred in or at least been featured in almost everything he’s directed, and a voice role is nothing new either. He did the voice for Ragnarok‘s scene-stealing Kronan, named Korg. It’s easy to imagine the sound of Waititi’s voice coming from a droid, whether it’s capable of speaking fluently or just using beeps and noises.

Howard is an accomplished actress, having recently taken a leading role in the last two Jurassic World movies. Her history as an actress makes it particularly believable that she would also take a supporting role in The Mandalorian, while also directing an episode. Since there aren’t any character details for her potential part yet, there really isn’t any telling what type of character she could play, if she plays one at all. Regardless, the possibility of including Waititi and Howard in The Mandalorian‘s cast is exciting nonetheless, so, hopefully, this can be confirmed (or debunked) soon.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Legendary Armor Locations Guide

In Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, there are legendary armor sets that players can obtain by completing missions, defeating specific bosses, or simply opening the right chests in the right areas. Obtaining and equipping a full set of legendary armor will grant players bonuses, some of which may change the entire course of their journey (including how they approach Odyssey‘s abilities).

While some legendary armor pieces may be acquired early on in the game, it’s best to wait until at least halfway through the story until players start to really try to obtain full sets. After all, most of them require defeating members of the Cult of Kosmos – and that can be harrowing in and of itself. Plus, the Cultists aren’t even introduced until quite a bit into the story.

Furthermore, equipping just one piece of legendary armor will grant players a bonus, but equipping all five pieces of equipment can either increase damage for all weapons and abilities, increase armor resistance, and perhaps even make players immortal in the grand scheme of things. Here’s a full guide on the all the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey legendary armor sets (images via PS4Trophies):

Pilgrim’s Legendary Armor Set

Players have to scour the Greek world looking for specific chests on specific islands. And acquiring each Pilgrim armor piece allows players to spend 40% less adrenaline when using the Shadow of Nyx ability.

  • Pilgrim’s Hood – Inside a chest in the Eleusis Telesterion in Attika.
  • Pilgrim’s Gloves – Inside a chest in the Akropolis of Argos.
  • Pilgrim’s Garment – Inside a chest in the Temple of Athena in Sparta.
  • Pilgrim’s Belt – Inside a chest in the Temple of Artemis in Lakonia.
  • Pilgrim’s Boots – Inside a chest in the Temple of Britomartis in Messara.

Amazon/Achilles Legendary Armor Set

Players who play as Kassandra will obtain the Amazon legendary armor set (something akin to Wonder Woman’s armor), whereas players who play as Alexios will get the Achilles armor upon defeating all the members of the Heroes of the Cult. Both armor sets provide players will a full set bonus of +2% damage dealt restored as health.

  • Helm of Achilles – Defeat Pallas the Silencer.
  • Bracers of Achilles – Defeat Swordfish.
  • Armor of Achilles – Defeat Belos, The Beast Of Sparta, in the Arena.
  • Waistband of Achilles – Defeat Okytos the Great.
  • Sandals of Achilles – Defeat Deianeira.

Agamemnon Legendary Armor Set

Agamemnon’s legendary armor set provides players with a full set bonus of +50% burning rate. But first, players have to defeat all the members of the Silver Vein branch of the Cult of Kosmos.

  • Agamemnon’s Helmet – Defeat Machaon The Feared.
  • Agamemnon’s Gauntlets – Inside a chest at the Silver Mine in Athens.
  • Agamemnon’s Body Armor – Defeat The Silver Griffin.
  • Agamemnon’s Waistband – Defeat The Centaur Of Euboea.
  • Boots of Agamemnon – Defeat The Chimera.

Immortal Legendary Armor Set

Although players can’t become immortal while wearing the Immortal legendary armor set, they do get an additional 20% health restored to them upon respawning. However, they first need to defeat the entire Worshippers of the Bloodline branch of the Cult of Kosmos.

  • Helmet of the Immortal – Defeat Zoisme.
  • Gauntlets of the Immortal – Defeat Chrysis.
  • Armor of the Immortal – Defeat Diona.
  • Waistband of the Immortal – Defeat Melite.
  • Boots of the Immortal – Defeat Harpalos.

Greek Heroes Legendary Armor Set

Instead of taking down Cultists, for the Greek Heroes legendary armor set, players have to take on mercenaries, who will drop the Perseus Helmet, Jason’s Golden Fleece, Bracers of Theseus, Hippolyta’s Belt, and Atalanta’s Sandals. However, different mercenaries may drop different items for different players. The armor set provides a bonus of 20% to all resistances.

  • Defeat The Translucent
  • Defeat The Flash
  • Defeat The Lucky Drunk
  • Defeat The Frenzied
  • Defeat The Resplendent

Arena Fighter’s Legendary Armor Set

In order to obtain the Arena Fighter’s legendary armor set, players will have to complete the Arena – defeating every champion – for a second time at or near the max level. Wearing the full set provides players with a bonus of +10% health restored with overpower.

  • Arena Fighter’s Helmet
  • Arena Fighter’s Gauntlets
  • Arena Fighter’s Armor
  • Arena Fighter’s Waistband
  • Pit Fighter’s Boots

Artemis Legendary Armor Set

The Artemis legendary armor set is obtained by essentially completing the Daughters of Artemis quest. A full set gives players a bonus of +15% damage on all Hunter abilities.

  • Master’s Artemis Hood – Defeat the Krokottas Hyena and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Gloves – Defeat the Erymanthian Boar and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Outfit – Defeat the Krekatan Bull and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Belt – Defeat Kallisto the Bear and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.
  • Master’s Artemis Treads – Defeat the Lykaon Wolf and deliver the pelt to Daphnae.

Snake Legendary Armor Set

One of the more intriguing legendary armor sets in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is the Snake set, which grants players a bonus of +10% intoxicated damage and weakening effect. The entire Eye of Kosmos branch of the Cult of Kosmos needs to be defeated in order to obtain the full set.

  • Viper’s Hood – Defeat The Master.
  • Venom Gloves – Defeat Hermippos.
  • Scaled Armor – Defeat The Snake.
  • Slithering Belt – Defeat Sotera.
  • Noxious Boots – Defeat Midus in Argolis.

Athenian War Hero Legendary Armor Set

Players have to defeat all the cultists part of the Delian League to obtain the Athenian War Hero legendary armor set. A full set grants a bonus allowing players to penetrate shields with arrows.

  • Athenian War Hero Helmet – Defeat Kodros the Bull.
  • Athenian War Hero Gauntlets – Defeat Brison.
  • Athenian War Hero Armor – Defeat Iobates the Stoic.
  • Athenian War Hero Belt – Defeat Rhexenor the Hand.
  • Athenian War Hero Boots – Defeat Podarkes the Cruel.

Spartan War Hero Legendary Armor Set

Considering that Sparta famously fought in the Peloponnesian War, it makes sense that players have to defeat the Peloponnesian League of the Cult of Kosmos to get the Spartan War Hero legendary armor set, which appropriately grants players +15% damage to all Warrior abilities.

  • Spartan War Hero Helmet – Defeat Monger in Korinthia.
  • Spartan War Hero Gauntlets – Defeat Silanos of Paros.
  • Spartan War Hero Armor – Defeat Skylax the Fair.
  • Spartan War Hero Belt – Defeat Lagos the Archon.
  • Spartan War Hero Boots – Defeat Kallias.

Pirate Legendary Armor Set

To get the Pirate legendary armor set, perhaps one of the coolest looking armor sets in the game, players have to take down the Gods of the Aegean Sea cultists. Then, the full armor set grants a +15% damage to all Assassin abilities.

  • Pirate Hood – Defeat Melanthos.
  • Pirate Gauntlets – Defeat Asterion.
  • Pirate Armor – Defeat The Octopus.
  • Pirate Waistband – Defeat Sokos.
  • Pirate Treads – Defeat The Mytilenian Shark.

Demigod Legendary Armor Set

Loot Deimos at the end of the main story to obtain four of the five pieces of armor needed to complete the Demigod legendary armor set. The four pieces of armor are: Demigod’s Chestplate, Demigod’s Bracers, Demigod’s Belt, and Demigod’s Boots. The final armor piece, Aspasia’s Circlet, is obtained by defeating the final Cult of Kosmos member, the Ghost of Kosmos.

In total, there are 12 legendary armor sets in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Some of them will be relatively easy to obtain, while others will require some skill and ingenuity. But Ubisoft’s latest installment is quite long and expansive, so there’s no rush. After all, one or two of them can only be acquired after completing the game itself.
